Which parts still feel worth keeping, and which parts only looked valuable because they were attached to an idea of what a man was supposed to be?
(short version) I had not developed a way to honor spirituality and love. I was a brute-force guy, tough, charismatic, smart, informed, etc.. Built a big persona; always had to hold the room; etc. It worked well when everything lined up, but when it didn’t, I didn’t know how to tap into my spirit and lead with love. As I got older, it came out in ways that hurt others and me.
