“Motionless wheel, nothing is real / Wasting my time in the waiting line”
This is the song that got me started with Zero 7 twenty-five years ago when I heard the Garden State soundtrack. The song captures the excruciating pace of waiting, nothing happening, and the feeling that nobody is listening.
In Bogota, the two days of excitement around retrieving our bikes amped us up. Then the process at Aduana (customs) slowly ground us down.
“Do you believe in what you see? / Motionless wheel, nothing is real”
Commitments made, commitments ignored. Hard to believe that the Veronica saga ends with another dropped ball.
